Coaching points
- Direct: plant foot, hips at the far post, strike through the ball. Don’t scoop.
- Laid-off: dummy runner goes over the ball. The setter plays it one yard, first time.
- Wall: four, shoulder to shoulder, GK sets the near-post edge. No jumping early.
- Runner from the wall attacks the rebound. The kick is not over at the save.

Common mistakes
The dummy stops on the ball and the wall charges.
The dummy runs over. If you hesitate, the pattern is dead.
Wall jumps before the strike and the shot goes under.
Jump on the plant, not on the run-up. GK calls it.
Everyone watches the shot and the rebound is free.
One attacker and one defender are rebound players. Assign them.
